If you are an Englewood water customer and are interesting in switching from flat rate to a water meter, the Utilities Department has a program that can help you manage the expense of switching: the Englewood Meter Assistance Program (EMAP).
Here's how the EMAP program works: Under the flat rate plan, small families typically pay for more water than they actually use, especially during the winter months. The EMAP program takes the difference between what you pay for the flat rate and what you would pay for the metered rate and uses that money to help pay the cost of installing the water meter.
The cost of the meter and yoke is about $251. The yoke is designed to be easy for a homeowner to install, but if you can't, the Utilities Department will include the cost of a plumber in the EMAP program.
Details are included in the agreement below. If you have questions about the program or if you would like to sign up, please call the Utilities Department at 303-762-2635.
