The Englewood Police Department strives to keep the public informed about crime in Englewood. The LexisNexis crime mapping system shows the locations and types of crimes that have taken place in the city.

LexisNexis Community Crime Map Online provides several helpful features:

  • Mapping - Englewood residents can view a map that shows crimes that have occurred in their area. LexisNexis Online displays the incidents (icons) on a map, with basic information regarding the type of crime, location (only the street and block are shown), date and time. There are also analytic tools available if you would like to get additional information.
  • Crime Alerts - You can sign up for crime alerts so that you can be notified of recent crime activity. You can specify the types of crimes that you want to know about, the distance from your location, and how often you want to receive these alerts.
  • Anonymous Tips - You can leave an anonymous tip which will go directly to the Englewood Police Department.  To submit a tip, simply click on any of the icons located on the map and then open the "Submit an Anonymous Tip" link at the bottom. (The tip does not need to be related to that particular crime.)

LexisNexis Online has a mobile app that is compatible with your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch or Android device.

Along with LexisNexis Online, the Englewood Police Department is a member of, where we occasionally post crime prevention tips and other important information for the Englewood community.
