The Cinderella City Project

The Cinderella City Project is building a digital 3D model of Englewood's Cinderella City Mall for a future virtual reality exhibit, which will allow the community to walk through the mall in two distinct eras: in the 1960s/70s shortly after it opened, and the 1980s/90s after it was renovated.

The intent behind the model is to be as accurate as possible, including materials, signage, and as many small details from the interior and exterior of the mall as possible. The Cinderella City Project is asking the Englewood community for any photos of the mall they might have. Specifically, photos from Cinder AlleyShamrock Mall, the Food Court and surrounding basement areas, as well as the lower level of the parking garage from all years are needed. But any and all photos could help the final digital model of Cinderella City accurately reflect the physical building.

If you have physical photos of the mall, feel free to drop them off at the Englewood Public Library, to the attention of Jon Solomon (Library Manager). The Cinderella City Project will scan the photos and leave them in the library so you can get them back. If you have digital scans of photos, feel free to email them directly to cinderellacityproject@gmail.com. The photos will only be used for modeling purposes and will not be shared without permission.  Learn more or follow the Cinderella City Project at: https://www.instagram.com/cinderellacityproject/
