Rebecca Kramer: District 2: Four-Year Term Candidate

Rebecca KramerHello, I’m a lifelong, third-generation resident of Englewood with deep roots in districts 2 and 3. Initially, I grew up in the Maddox neighborhood, spending summers at Denny Miller Field and Cinderella City before moving to District 2 in 6th grade. I graduated from Englewood High School in 1985. I earned a degree in Business Administration and Accounting from Colorado State University and built a 35-year career in Financial Services as a Compliance Officer, AML and Ethics Officer, and State and Federal Regulator. Today, I work as an independent consultant and expert witness.

My civic involvement began in the 1980s on the Parks and Recreation Commission, where I helped develop the Rec Center. I currently serve on the Malley Trust Fund Board and regularly attend City Council meetings to stay informed and advocate for our community. I’ve co-chaired a successful Mill Levy campaign, organized fundraisers—including raffling off a Mini Cooper to support music education—and participated in numerous citizen-led initiatives.

I’m running for City Council because I love this city. Englewood is a vibrant, supportive community, and I believe we must preserve our neighborhoods from overdevelopment while investing in long-overdue infrastructure improvements. Our storm drainage systems, roads, and public buildings need strategic planning and responsible budgeting.

I will champion open, transparent reviews of city finances and advocate for a broader, more inclusive voice in shaping Englewood’s future. With decades of professional experience and a lifetime of civic engagement, I’m ready to serve.
