Official Results for the District 1 Special Municipal Election.

On February 12, 2018, City Council passed Resolution No. 11 establishing May 22, 2018 for a Special Election for the voters of City Council District 1 to elect an individual to serve the remainder of the term of the City Council seat vacated by Joe Jefferson (November of 2019).    

Informational Candidate Packets will be available to pick up from the City Clerk’s office on February 15th and will also be available on the City’s website. 

Eligibility requirements:

  • Citizen of the United States
  • At least twenty-five (25) years of age
  • A registered elector of the City of Englewood for at least one year
  • A resident of District 1
  • May not hold any other public office or employment for which compensation is paid from any municipality.

Each candidate shall be nominated by petition signed by at least fifty (50) registered electors residing within District 1.  Nomination petitions will be available in the City Clerk’s office at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 20th.  This is the first day that nomination petitions may be circulated.  Nomination petitions will be due by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, March 12th
