Englewood Utilities Department
The Englewood Utilities Department provides an online form to request an account transfer, final status, or title status.
How to Submit a Request:
- Online: Complete and submit the form electronically below.
- By Fax or Email: Download this form, fill it out, and submit it via:

Once we receive your completed form, the requested account or final status information will be sent to the Title Company via fax.
Conditions That May Apply To the Requested Title Status
Metered Account
The final bill will be sent after the final meter reading has been completed.
Flat Rate Conversion Required
The title company will inform the customer at closing that the home is currently on a flat rate water service and must be converted to a metered account within 90 days of the closing date.
The title company and parties involved determine which parties pay these fees.
Water service may be turned off for non-compliance. No exceptions.
Lead or Galvanized Steel Service Line Replacement Required
The title company will inform the customer at closing that the previous property owner declined participation in the Lead Reduction Program, and the home has a known lead or galvanized service line. The new homeowner must replace the lead or galvanized service line within 90 days of the closing date as noted in Englewood municipal code section 12-1b-5.
All costs incurred will be at the expense of the homeowner.
Water service may be turned off for non-compliance. No exceptions.
Service Line Verification & Replacement if Needed
The title company will inform the customer at closing that the previous property owner declined verification of the service line material on the customer-side. The new homeowner must verify the customer-side service line material within 90 days of the closing date. If the service line is found to be lead or galvanized, it must also be fully replaced within the same 90-day period as noted in Englewood municipal code section 12-1b-5..
All costs incurred will be at the expense of the homeowner.

Sewer Account Only
The title company will inform the customer at closing that there will be no final bill. A surcharge will be added, and an assessment will be filed if not paid.
Concrete District
The title company will inform the customer at closing that a surcharge will be added, and an assessment will be filed if not paid.
Transfer/Request Fees (Effective January 1, 2025)
- Account Transfer: $17 per request
- Cancel Transfer: $22 per request
- Title Status Request: $10 per request

These fees will be applied to the seller’s utility account. The title company and parties involved determine which parties pay these fees.
