City of Englewood, Colorado
Home MenuPavement Management Program
The city is responsible for maintaining 121.0 centerline miles of streets, which includes arterial streets (30.93 miles), and local / collector streets (90.07 miles). View the street classification map here.
Pavement repair work is divided into three categories: Routine, Preventive and Corrective, which are addressed in one of five pavement management zones of the city on a cyclic basis. The program places a priority on maintaining the roads in each zone that are in good condition (Routine and Preventive maintenance) to extend the life of the roadway surface. As street maintenance is deferred, more expensive repair strategies including surface mill and overlay or full-depth street reconstruction become necessary (Corrective maintenance). More information on the three different pavement maintenance categories.
Routine maintenance is typically performed by the City's Streets Maintenance Division staff. Preventive and Corrective maintenance is typically performed by outside contractors.
In 2021, a pavement rating analysis was conducted on each street segment in the city that determined the Overall Condition Index (OCI) on a scale of 0 to 100 for each segment. This quantitative rating assists staff in determining the appropriate type of treatment based on the current condition of each street segment.
Five Year Maintenance Plan
The maps linked below which type of pavement maintenance is scheduled in each pavement management zone over the next five years. Although every street will be evaluated, only those streets that meet the criteria for a given treatment type will be treated.
