The City of Englewood has adopted the following amendments to the 2024 International Fire Code (IFC) (effective May 6, 2026): All plans submitted between May 6 to May 31, 2026 may use the previously adopted 2021 IFC code or the newely adopted 2024 IFC, but on June 1, 2026, any new plan submittals must be based on the 2024 IFC (including amendments). Any existing plans and those submitted before May 6, 2026 will be processed using the adopted code at the time of the submittal.

Copies of the IFC are available for review in the reference section of the Englewood Public Library, located on the first floor of the Englewood Civic Center (1000 Englewood Parkway).
