The City of Englewood is partnering with the City of Littleton on a joint roadway improvement project along Windermere Street and Prentice Avenue. Construction is scheduled for completion in September 2026.
Through an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA), the two cities are pooling resources to deliver roadway improvements across the city boundary while saving taxpayer dollars. The City of Littleton will lead project management for the effort.
What to Expect
Windermere Street: Prentice Avenue to Layton Avenue
- Roadway chip seal
- Protected bike lanes with new curbs and flex posts
- Restriping at the Belleview intersection to maintain continuous bike lanes
Prentice Avenue: Windermere Street to Hickory Street
- Roadway slurry seal
- Speed cushions to help calm traffic
- An ADA-compliant ramp at Elmwood Street
Localized traffic control information will be shared as construction approaches. Drivers, bicyclists and pedestrians should plan for temporary traffic impacts in the project area.
This partnership allows Englewood and Littleton to coordinate improvements across their shared border, creating safer streets and a smoother experience for people traveling through the area.
