Englewood is expanding access to electric vehicle charging to support cleaner transportation and meet growing demand with new chargers available this June!
The city’s Electric Vehicle Action Plan includes installing chargers at five public locations, creating a more reliable network for community members, visitors and commuters. This also supports a goal to ensure multifamily properties with 30 units or more have access to public charging within a quarter mile by 2030.
Improving access helps address one of the biggest barriers to EV adoption, as many drivers cite charging availability as a top concern. Expanding infrastructure makes it easier to consider low and no emission vehicles.
The city is also installing six Level 2 charging ports at its service center to support fleet electrification, with a goal of transitioning 20% electric light-duty vehicles by 2030.
Charging stations can also support nearby businesses by increasing customer activity while contributing to improved air quality. Learn more about the EV Action Plan here.
