A new pilot program is helping Englewood community members rethink what a yard can be.

ColoRADscape supports homeowners and renters who want to replace traditional turf with water-wise landscapes filled with native plants and pollinator habitat. These spaces are designed to be both sustainable and visually appealing while supporting the local ecosystem.

Participants receive guidance on planning and installation, along with support from sustainability volunteers. Whether starting small or re-imagining an entire yard, the program offers practical tools to get started.

As projects take shape, participants receive a yard sign and city recognition, helping build a visible network of native landscapes across Englewood. These spaces support pollinators while reducing water use and maintenance.
