It’s National Library Outreach Day! Today, Wednesday, April 22, the Englewood Public Library is celebrating our library staff who meet patrons outside of our library walls all year long.

The Youth Services team visits Englewood Schools and community locations for story times, curriculum collaborations, book deliveries and so much more. The Adult Services team operates our Home Delivery Program, delivering library materials to patrons who can’t visit the library themselves. And all of our staff visit city and community events, like the Englewood Block Party, Neighborhood Nights, Earth Day Celebration and Celebrate Englewood, to share library information at these cornerstone Englewood events.

Englewood Public Library services surpass bricks and mortar, as our staff continue to adapt and develop innovative ways to deliver library materials and services that transform lives and support lifelong learning. So far in 2026, we’ve already completed almost 100 outreach hours!
