The Lead Reduction Program is coming to Hampden and Belleview starting April 13th, 2026. This work is essential for Englewood Utilities to ensure safe drinking water by replacing old lead pipes with new copper lines.
Work will take place in phases, with lane closures moving west to east along both corridors. On Belleview Avenue, single lane closures are expected between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., while Hampden Avenue will see closures between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Westbound Belleview Avenue:
- Right lane closures from Federal Blvd to Lowell Blvd
- Right lane closures from S Huron St to S Acoma St
- Left lane closures from S Acoma St to S Huron St
Hampden Avenue:
- Eastbound right lane closures from S Jason St to S Bannock St
- Westbound right lane closures from S Cherokee St to S Fox St
Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead, use alternate routes when possible, and make arrangements for parking and daily travel. Businesses and residents in the area may also want to notify customers, staff and visitors of potential delays.
