Englewood Utilities is continuing a critical water supply project that will connect Denver’s water system to Englewood’s, providing an emergency water supply if an event affects Englewood’s ability to serve its customers.
Phase 1 (March - Mid-July)
As part of this work, Clarkson Street remains closed in both directions between Oxford Avenue and Martin Lane. The project has experienced delays, and the anticipated reopening date has been extended to July 16. Drivers are encouraged to continue planning alternate routes during this time.
Phase 2 (July 1 - Late August)
Beginning July 1, construction will move into Phase 2 of the project. East Chenango Avenue will be closed between South Washington Street and South Clarkson Street for approximately eight weeks while crews continue installation work associated with the emergency water connection project.
For questions or concerns about the project, please contact Cliff Stephens, engineering supervisor with Englewood Utilities, at cstephens@englewoodco.gov or 303-783-6857.
