The East Dartmouth Traffic Calming Project is moving into the next phase. The city anticipates sending Notices of Intent in late February or early March to property owners regarding the purchase of temporary construction easements needed for construction. These easements allow contractors to temporarily access small portions of private property during construction to complete the planned improvements.
After City Council approval, the city will complete waiver valuations to determine fair compensation for the temporary easements. If you are a property owner who may be affected, you will receive direct communication from the city with additional details about next steps.
