What’s Next for Englewood CityCenter

Post Date:10/09/2025

Aerial image with CityCenter property boundaries marked. At the October 6 City Council meeting, council approved CB 52, authorizing the next step in the CityCenter revitalization process. This agreement ends the long-term ground lease on portions of CityCenter property and begins the phased transfer of ownership to New Englewood, LLC, (the developer).

This important step will allow planning for CityCenter’s next chapter to move forward—transforming the area into a vibrant, walkable destination that includes new housing, restaurants, shops and public spaces. The City of Englewood will also take ownership of several key properties within CityCenter to support future redevelopment and community use.

The Civic Center building, which includes city offices and the Englewood Public Library, is not included in this redevelopment project.

While redevelopment will take time, the city is committed to keeping the community informed and involved throughout the process. Your feedback will help shape what comes next. Stay tuned for upcoming surveys, public meetings and engagement opportunities to share your ideas.
