South Platte Renew (SPR), in partnership with Breckenridge Brewery, the Colorado School of Mines and local environmental groups, is celebrating World Environment Day by showcasing cutting-edge water reuse technology and cleaning up local waterways. Breckenridge Brewery is hosting a river cleanup followed by a sustainability celebration and the unveiling of “Project Green 2025 Lager” — a beer brewed using 100% purified recycled water from SPR’s Pilot and Research Center (PARC) PureWater Colorado demonstration trailer.

“This collaboration highlights South Platte Renew's commitment to advancing water reuse technology and demonstrating practical applications of our purification systems. The demonstration showcases how cutting-edge water treatment can support a local industry while promoting environmental stewardship,” stated Kacie Allard South Platte Renew’s Deputy Director of Business Solutions.

The river cleanup event and sustainbility celebration will take place on World Environment Day on June 5 from 4 – 8 p.m. Every volunteer at the cleanup will receive a complimentary pint of Project Green at the after party hosted at the Farm House at Breckenridge Brewery located at 2990 Brewery Lane in Littleton, Colo. Breckenridge Brewery has pledged a $1 donation of every sale of Project Green to Protect Our Rivers, an organization dedicated to preserving natural ecosystems through active conservation and education.
