Where'd the Water Go? - Maintaining Native Plants During the Heat of the Summer
Due to the forecast for high temperatures, we've updated the format of this Saturday's ColoRADscape informational event.
Join the City of Englewood for a brief indoor presentation on Biochar, an innovative soil amendment that can help improve soil health and support water-wise landscapes. Enjoy snacks while learning about the benefits of Biochar and tips for establishing native plants during the dry summer months.
After the presentation, we'll visit several nearby ColoRADscape installations, including Barde Park, to discuss sod removal, soil preparation, plant selection and other elements of creating a successful native landscape.
Whether you're just getting started or looking for new ideas, this is a great opportunity to see water-wise landscaping in action. No prior experience is needed. All are welcome to attend.
Location: Depot Park
Date: Saturday, July 11
Time: 10 a.m.–12 p.m.
