Englewood, like other cities in the Denver metro area, follows the State of Colorado's rules against burning wood on "no burn" days.
Upon declaration of a High Pollution Day, residents are permitted three (3) hours for the burn-down of existing fires in solid fuel-burning devices.
If you only have a wood-burning heater as your sole source of heat, you may apply to the Building and Safety Division for an exemption.
