The discussions are always open topic but here are some of the current issues: * Municipal Elections- 3 Council positions are up for reelection this year. 1 At Large, District 2 and District 4 Please contact the City Clerk's office 303 -762-2300 if you are interested in running. Petitions to get on the November ballot will be available next week. **City Council revised the Tax Exemption Ordinance charging the Englewood School District tax on the 100 million dollar bond, approved by Englewood Voters last November to rebuild and upgrade our Englewood School buildings. However, many think the revision still allows the City Council to interfere with the projects and charge the Tax Exempt Englewood School District. The revision did not address Non-Profits, Churches, and other Tax Exempt entities being charged taxes by the City of Englewood. *Depot Park: Englewood Depot Council Members and Citizens continue to express frustration with the lack of progress on the museum at Depot Park, promised when the Englewood Depot was sold in 2013 to private owners for 30 thousand dollars. Some would like to see the Depot and Depot Park Land returned to the City. http://www.villagerpublishing.com/55551/front-page/depot-plans-derailed/ *New Police building Update. - Bond sale and disposition of additional 5 million dollars *Monday 8-7-17 Study Session 6:00 p.m. *Monday 8-7-17 City Council Meeting 7 p.m. If you wish to speak to City Council on any issue please sign up prior to the meeting (speakers are allowed 3 minutes) Or watch the meeting from home https://englewoodgov.civicweb.net/Portal/ If you are unable to attend the Town Hall Meetings, coffees or events, please call or email me with your concerns or schedule a time to meet with me.
